Nice place but they overcharge here. I had work done for less than an hour. I gave them all the parts and after telling me the labor rate is 119. They charge me 210 for the repair. The receipt said "180 for labor".
Our shop's labor times are standardized according to a national labor guide software, which automatically generates labor time for each particular service or repair on any given year, make and model of a vehicle. We do not use actual labor time (except during some electrical repairs and troubleshooting) since each technician's labor time will vary according to any number of factors, including skill level, experience, tools, conditions, etc. Also, in some cases, two technicians will work together on one vehicle. Using actual labor time would not be fair to the customer since the times would vary on the same repair, same vehicle. We also would not be able give customers estimates on labor time, without using this standardized software. We are aware that the service on your vehicle took less that the labor guide software estimated it would, but you were waiting in the lobby so we put a tech on the job that could get it done fast. We here at Nola Automotive try our best to please every customer that walks through our door.
